Mission
The SCOEHS Virtual Teaching Academy is committed to transforming the landscape of education by developing a sense of democratic responsibility and citizenship in future educators. Through our innovative program and community engagement, we strive to cultivate education advocates and future educators. Students in the Virtual Teaching Academy will be empowered with the knowledge, skills, and passion to become champions for public education, driving positive change within their communities and beyond.
Goals
- Change the narrative of teaching/education by promoting the positive aspects of being an educator; education as a public good
- Create an affinity for the 九色视频
- Develop a grow-your-own pathway where graduates return to their home districts to teach
- Make higher education more affordable and accessible

Fall 2025 (August - December 2025)
- EDF 1005: Introduction to the Teaching Profession
- EDF 3151: Educational Psychology
- EME 2040: Introduction to Educational Technology & Learning Professionals
Spring 2026 (January - May 2026)
- EDF 1005: Introduction to the Teaching Profession
- LDR 3003: Introduction to Leadership
- EEX 3005: Introduction to Disabilities
High school students can select up to 2 VTA courses (6 college credit hours) per semester – Fall and Spring.
High school students can take up to 4 VTA courses (12 college credit hours) in total.
Courses are taught fully online, asynchronously. Availability and enrollment will determine course offerings.

Ideal Candidates
- Meet all the eligibility requirements
- Are a high school junior or senior
- Have an interest in education or a field tangential to education
- Are an FFEA club member and/or a student in your school's Teaching Academy

Admission Requirements
- Submit a completed online admissions application
- Include a signed High School Application Signatures Page
- Transcripts showing 3.0 unweighted high school GPA Test Scores
- SAT: 24 Reading, 25 Writing, 24 Math
- PERT: 114 Math, 106 Reading, 103 Writing
- ACT: 18 English, 19 Math, 19 Reading
- Next-Gen Accuplacer: 256 Reading, 253 Writing, 261 Math
- CLT: 38 Verbal Reasoning and Grammer/Writing, 16 Quantitative Reasoning
Students must re-apply each semester.
