  "Our goal is to develop a professional club that will allow students a chance to experience something not taught in the classroom."

  The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s American Marketing Association Chapter gives its members the opportunity to increases their chances of achieving internships, employment, and real-world experience. We achieve these goals by coordinating professional and casual networking events, professional tours, guest speakers, and volunteer opportunities that focus on how to be successful in the marketing world. • Delta Sigma Pi

  Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community. Here at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, our chapter is committed to making the students of the Coggin College of Business more professional, more knowledgeable and thus more successful. We recruit at the beginning of both fall and spring semesters. We look for qualified individuals who go above and beyond the expected and will increase the strength of our brotherhood.

  The purpose of the Economics Society at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ is to further the interests of the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ student about the field of economics. Through professional speakers, events and open forums we hope to enhance the knowledge of economic factors in the local, national and global economy. The Economics Society is open to all ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ students and is a great way to get involved on campus and within the community.

• Osprey Sales Club

  ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ's Osprey Sales Club helps ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ students prepare for a successful career in business. It's designed for students who want to start a professional selling career or who just want to learn best practices of business interactions with co-workers and clients.
  
  Members will learn the importance of sales as a fundamental business and life skill through guest speakers, hands-on opportunities, and superior access to careers in selling.

  
  As an active member you will practice and gain valuable knowledge on topics such as, networking, negotiating, business etiquette, public speaking, and body language. You will also learn how to sell your own talents and ideas when interviewing, on the job, and in your everyday activities.

• Rotaract

  ROTARACT is an international program for young men and women ages 18 to 30 who believe they can make a difference. ROTARACT clubs provide an opportunity for young adults to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

  ROTARACT was founded in 1968 by ROTARY INTERNATIONAL, a worldwide association of service-minded business and professional leaders. Today there are over 6,000 Rotary-supported ROTARACT clubs with more than 130,000 members in some 120 countries around the world. Clubs are either community-based or university-based. Our sponsor is Oceanside Rotary. This makes us true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary.

• Society for Human Resource Management
  The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is a professional organization open to students who are interested in the human resources field. The organization is designed to promote a closer affiliation between the business community and students. The objectives of the organization are to keep students up to date on new developments in the field of human resources management, to acquaint students to the human resources field, and to develop a nucleus of truly professional human administrators for the future. Student membership is open to students of at least sophomore standing. Full-time or part-time students are welcomed.

  Students may be enrolled in either the undergraduate program or the graduate programs at the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ. Members need not be business majors, but must have an interest in human resources. If interested, contact the Department of Management, Marketing and Logistics.

• Transportation & Logistics Society

  The purpose of the Transportation and Logistics Society (TLS) is to promote, foster and encourage student interest in the field of transportation and logistics. TLS strives to accomplish this purpose by creating a relationship network for ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ transportation and logistics majors, promoting the growth of the program at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ and enhancing members’ skills through shared professional experiences, fostering personal and professional growth among members, and by serving the University, the Coggin College of Business, the professional community of Jacksonville, and where possible, the nation. The Transportation and Logistics Society was voted ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Club of the Year five times since 2003, most recently in 2018, among 207 student organizations.

Coggin Student Organizations - Selective Membership

• Osprey Financial Group

  The Osprey Financial Group is a student managed investment fund. The program, a two-semester commitment that counts as six elective credits, enables a select group of undergraduate finance and MBA students to manage a real portfolio as a professional investment firm. The real-world asset management experience begins with application and interviews to select 10 students for each academic year. The chosen students are administratively organized with officer positions and responsibilities. Teams analyze and present reports to aid in buy/sell decision making. There are sector analyst, economic, fixed-income, and technical analysis teams that all aid in the decision making process. OFG won the 2010 CFA Florida Investment Research Challenge.

• Coggin Delegation

  The purpose of Coggin Delegation is to bring together domestic and international students in order to enhance cultural learning while studying at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ. ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ domestic student members are able to welcome the international exchange students to ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ and help them adapt to American culture, interact with students from the country where they plan on studying abroad, and gain intercultural competencies that they might not otherwise get if they are not able to study abroad.

• Beta Gamma Sigma
  Beta Gamma Sigma is the national scholastic honor society in the field of business administration. Membership is limited to outstanding graduates of colleges accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business. It is the highest academic honor that a student in business or management can obtain.

  
  Objectives:

  • Encourage and honor high academic achievement by students of business and management through chapters in business programs accredited by AACSB International.
  • Foster in Beta Gamma Sigma members an enduring commitment to the founding principles and values of the Society: honor and integrity, pursuit of wisdom, and earnestness.
  • Support the advancement of business thought and practice to encourage lifelong learning.
  • Enhance the value of Beta Gamma Sigma for students and alumni members in their professional lives.
  • Advance the visibility and reputation of Beta Gamma Sigma. 

  Eligibility:

  • In the top 5 percent of their junior class
  • In the top 10 percent of their senior class and meet certain course residency requirements
  • In the top 20 percent of those receiving masters degrees

• Finance and Investment Society
  The mission of the Finance and Investment Society is to support the development of future financial services professionals not only in their field, but in the university and the community at large. Through career-oriented activities such as presentations by guest speakers, faculty members, and North Florida alumni, students are given the opportunity to learn about various career paths and useful information that will help them advance in the workplace as well as giving students a chance to network with local Finance professionals.

   

  ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Finance and Investment Society is a chapter of Financial Management Association (FMA) where members with a honorary GPA will graduate with honors. 

  The FMA National Honor Society recognizes and rewards scholastic achievement and is the only international honorary specifically for students of finance. It is one of the highest academic honors that a student in finance can obtain.

  Undergraduate Eligibility:

  An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

  A Junior or Senior standing

  Completed at least four finance classes

   

  Graduate Eligibility:

  An overall GPA of 3.5 or higher

  Completed two finance classes beyond the required course

  Beta Alpha Psi is an international, honors accounting and finance organization with over 300 active chapters. Through Beta Alpha Psi, students can foster connections to professionals through networking events as well as social events, attend events that offer professional development, give back to the community through service events, and develop bonds with contemporaries in their field. Our goal is to provide students with the passion for accounting and/or finance with opportunities to grow both as professionals and individuals through the events that we hold as well as the leadership positions we offer.

• Omicron Delta Epsilon

  Omicron Delta Epsilon is one of the world's largest academic honor societies. The objectives of Omicron Delta Epsilon are recognition of scholastic attainment and the honoring of outstanding achievements in economics; the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty in economics within colleges and universities, and among colleges and universities; the publication of its official journal, The American Economist ; and sponsoring of panels at professional meetings as well as the Irving Fisher and Frank W. Taussig competitions.

  Currently, Omicron Delta Epsilon has 696 chapters located in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Egypt, France, Kazakhstan, and United Arab Emirates. With such a broad, international base, chapter activities vary widely, ranging from invited speakers, group discussions, dinners, meetings, etc., to special projects such as review sessions and tutoring for students in economics. Omicron Delta Epsilon plays a prominent role in the annual Honors Day celebrations at many colleges and universities.
