Outstanding Graduate in Religious Studies Award
This is awarded to the student that displays the highest level of academic achievement in the field. The award includes a cash prize and the addition of the student's name to a plaque in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. The award is announced at the end of the spring semester and all religious studies graduates from the preceding academic year are eligible. The recipient of the award is selected by a committee of religious studies faculty.
Best Undergraduate Paper in Religious Studies Award
This is awarded to the best paper in religious studies. The award includes a cash prize and the addition of the student's name to a plaque in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. Submissions are requested starting in March every year, and the award is announced at the end of the spring semester. All papers written for religious studies classes are eligible. Religious Studies Club
Started in 2014 by religious studies alumna Gayle Eanes, the Religious Studies Club supports the academic inquiry of religion in the surrounding community of Jacksonville. Students have engaged in site visits in diverse places such as mosques, Buddhist meditations, a trip to a local spiritualist community, and an excursion to the Holy Land theme park.
