¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s C.A.M.P. Osprey is a Multiplying Good ‘One in a Million Award’ recipient
The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s Collegiate Achievement Mentorship Program (C.A.M.P. Osprey) is a recipient of the Multiplying Good “One in a Million Award” in recognition of the program’s generous and giving service to the community.
Multiplying Good, a national non-profit organization, recognizes acts of kindness, bravery and generosity and celebrates C.A.M.P. Osprey as a program that puts others first and uses service to solve community problems
According to Multiplying Good, “CAMP Osprey, having impacted both ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ and Jacksonville as a whole, serves as a beacon of light in the realm of servant leadership.”
C.A.M.P. Osprey is a mutually beneficial partnership under the leadership of Dr. Matthew Ohlson, Taylor Leadership Institute director and leadership associate professor, where ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ students serve as mentors to children in the local community. The overall goal of the program is to positively mentor and empower K-12 students while simultaneously allowing ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ students to foster and develop their leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ohlson has exemplified true leadership in his acts of service for the program, encouraging others to build up and empower students of all ages and backgrounds.
